Universal Networks International (UNI) has secured the first-run basic television rights in the UK to A TOWN CALLED EUREKA (season 4) and WAREHOUSE 13 (season 2) from NBC Universal International Television Distribution, it was announced today.? The series will appear on UNI?s newly rebranded channel Syfy.
And, for the first time, the shows will be sharing more than just a channel as the two highly anticipated ?crossover? episodes make their UK debuts during the run. Much to the delight of fans Neil Grayston of Eureka will visit WAREHOUSE 13 and WAREHOUSE 13′s Allison Scagliotti will take a trip to the mysterious town of Eureka.
Season 4 of A TOWN CALLED EUREKA premieres on Syfy on Tuesday 24 August 8pm, while Warehouse 13 season 2 kicks off on Thursday 23 September at 9pm
The latest acquisitions are part of UNI?s ongoing commitment to offer first-run, imagination-based entertainment to its Syfy audience.
?To have secured the UK premiere rights to the newest season of A TOWN CALLED EUREKA is a real coup for us ? particularly as this season links brilliantly to WAREHOUSE 13,? said Syfy?s (UK) Jamie Morris.
?We?re also thrilled to have WAREHOUSE 13 season 2 as yet another first run for Syfy. Season 1 was the most popular series on our channel last year and there is a real buzz around season 2 ? particularly with the crossover episode, which the fans campaigned for and had their wish granted.? These are both fantastic shows and their clever plot twists and amazing effects make them real gems in our autumn schedules.?
A TOWN CALLED EUREKA follows the genius inhabitants of a government-run Pacific Northwest town who, with the help of Sheriff Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson), spend each episode solving mysterious accidents and intentional misuses of technology.
Described as ?The X-Files meets Raiders of The Lost Ark meets Moonlighting? WAREHOUSE 13 (13×1-hour) sees U.S. Secret Service agents Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly) and Peter Lattimer (Eddie McClintock) assigned to the government’s secret Warehouse 13, which houses supernatural objects. They retrieve missing objects and investigate reports of new ones, encountering some shocks and surprises along the way.
Syfy is available on Sky 129 & HD 214, Virgin 135 & HD 165 and TalkTalk 22.
